About
Flaxmill Bothy, located just outside Castlerock, is a former flaxmill built by Naomi’s great-grandfather, abandoned for a hundred years, it is slowly being uncovered by Naomi, her dad, and her partner Jonny. It now comes to life with cottagecore parties and homegrown feasts. It is a magical place that leaves you feeling like you’ve stepped back in time, or stepped sideways through the veil into another world
Set on the edge of a forest on the North Coast of Ireland, only a mile from the Atlantic Ocean, if you want to be closer to nature, this is the place to do it. A stream runs through the site, birds sing in the trees, and our honeybees hum among the rustling leaves.
Naomi has been a mindfulness meditation practitioner for almost ten years. She creates content for online and print media, and delivers in-person sessions.
She is the 'voice' of a mindfulness meditation app creating thousands of pieces of relaxing and inspiring content focussing on emotional and spiritual wellbeing which have been listened to over a million times, and resulted in a book of her daily meditations being published. She also has a monthly mindful radio show. She is also a qualified Horticulturalist and Landscape Architect and is passionate about the healing power of nature on the mind. In a previous London career her role involved marketing and events, and she is delighted to see all her skills and experiences come together to create magical experiences at the mill.
If you would like to hold an event at the mill, or use it as a location shoot, please get in touch.
